Αριστοφανικά ίχνη στον Καρυωτάκη: Αναλογίες και επιδράσεις

Abstract:

After a short historical account of the reception of Aristophanes in early twentieth-century Greece, this paper explores analogies with and influences from Aristophanic comedy in Kostas Karyotakis’ work. It is argued that his poem Mikri asymphonia eis A meizon and the short story Oneiropolos draw upon Frogs and Clouds, respectively, in a way suggesting Karyotakis’ modernist reading of Aristophanes, against the trend of his time to perceive the ancient dramatist as an author of pornographic revues.
